Yes…
You see any way He can touch
my heart and let me see Him in action my faith is built up and He gets the
glory. He is pleased to give me the
kingdom, with or without pickles. Luke 12:32 tells me so, “Do not be afraid, little flock,
for your Father has been pleased to give you the kingdom.
Another mindset that can hold us back from going to God is the age old question, “Who am I to ask God for anything?” Well, we are his children. He loves us and wants us to let Him know what’s on our minds. It’s the way He’s planned it. So its ok to come boldly to His throne room - Ephesians 3:12 reads, “In him and through faith in him we may approach God with freedom and confidence.”
When my mom was alive she was known for parking spot prayers. Yes, as silly as it sounds, she prayed for good parking spots. God was faithful because she was faith filled. Do you want to be used of God to pray and make big differences in the lives of people? Then being faithful in the little things will lead to the big things. Also, if you know that God has been faithful with little things He can use that small bit of faith that has been built in your heart to move mountains.
Back in the 70’s Burger King ran a commercial with their slogan, “Have it your way” in a cute jingle. The key to prayer is not to ask about having things our way but to say instead, “Have your way, God”. We say this because, by faith, we trust Him. We say this because He is our loving Father and we belong to Him. We can also say, “I am yours” and “Hold the pickles, please”.
** Lord, thank you. I see you work in the smallest of things and I see you holding the stars. I am amazed that you take the time to see me and my small problems. I’m thankful that you see me and help me with my big ones too. Forgive me for thinking you’re too busy for me. I love you and want you to build my faith and I promise to give you the glory for even in those small details when you show care and love. **

“Consider how the wild flowers grow. They do not labor or spin. Yet I tell you, not even King Solomon in all his splendor was dressed like one of these. If that is how God clothes the grass of the field, which is here today, and tomorrow is thrown into the fire, how much more will he clothe you – oh you of little faith! Do not set your heart on what you will eat or drink; do not worry about it. For the world runs after all such things, and your Father knows that you need them. But seek his kingdom, and these things will be given to you as well.” Luke 12:27-31
